Korus ("we", "us") is a mobile app for creative collaboration. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Korus iOS app and this website.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and the password you choose (stored as a secure credential, never in plain text), managed through Google Firebase Authentication.
- Profile information — the name, photo, bio, skills, creative styles, location, and availability you choose to share on your profile.
- Content you create — projects, portfolio items, files, mood boards, timelines, messages, and feedback you post in the app.
- Payment information — if you use optional paid collaborations, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card or bank details; Stripe shares only what is needed to run the transaction (such as payout status).
- Device and usage information — push notification tokens (if you enable notifications), device type, and basic diagnostics such as crash logs.
How we use it
- Provide the service: profiles, discovery, projects, messaging, and reviews.
- Send notifications you've enabled, such as new messages and project invites.
- Process optional payments and escrow through Stripe.
- Keep the platform safe: prevent abuse, enforce our terms, and debug problems.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
What other users can see
Your profile and anything you publish to Discover are visible to other Korus users. Content inside a project is visible to that project's members. Focus-group materials are view-only for invited participants and protected against saving and screen capture where the platform allows.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of processors to run Korus:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, and cloud functions.
- Stripe — payment processing and escrow for paid collaborations.
- Apple / Expo — app distribution and push notification delivery.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account from Settings in the app, or email us at support@getkorus.app, and we will delete your account and associated personal data, except where we must retain records (for example, payment records required by law).
Children
Korus is rated 12+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we will also notify you in the app.
